Same Cream
As a formulator I am very glad to have been
a part of the Purity Skin Care Line. I had the opportunity to make the
absolute most effective product that is natural based in a an aloe
foundation. Before you stop reading let me explain some things to you.
The hardest part of knowing about the
formulation process is to know that most companies uses all the right buzz
words but do very little when it comes to efficacy. For example saying
that A product uses a proven peptide called Renovage is one thing,
actually using enough to make the product effective is another.
The Purity Line did not have the typical
constraints. I was allowed to use any ingredient that I thought
needed to be put in. With most other companies you have serious
cost constraints and this means using mineral oil ( a very clogging
oil to the pores and all the research that I have done shows that it may
actually contribute to premature aging when used over the long run - in
the short run it wets the skin and that is about it, other than seriously
clogging the pores.
IMPORTANT READ THIS!
Unwanted Mineral Oils
and Propylene Glycol
So why do the top 10 moisturizers in the
USA uses either mineral oil or propylene glycol? The simple answer is
cost!!! The bad news is that these ingredients could be long term damage
to the celluar reproduction of your skin. I stay far away from these!
Preservatives
Another main ingredient that I stay away
from are Parabens. We do this for many reasons but many because of
the reports that showed that a breast cancer tumor was made
out of parabens. We were shocked when even the breast cancer
society waited to recommend to use skin products without the Parabens. Why
wait and see how dangerous they really are? Now the average consumer wants
products without parabens and we gladly oblige by switching to a very
complicated but very effective natural based preservative system that uses
small amounts of neem oil and phenoxyethanol to be a very effective
preservative system that is natural based.
NO Triethanolamin or
Trolamine (TEA)
Those same moisturizers that use pore
clogging mineral oils also use TEA which is short for triethanolamine or
troloamine. THis particular ingredient is used to thicken creams and
serums and also many hair care products. SO what is the big deal? Simply
read the bottle. It is PROVEN to cause cancer in lab mice (the same
warning is given that is given to cigarettes)
TEA also is proven to cause gastrointestinal
problems. Yes, irritable bowel, upset stomach, serious and minor stomach
problems. WE DO NOT USE THIS! Why would anybody? Simple COSTS! It is 1/25
of the cost of natural thickeners.
Of course we use the natural thickeners!
***Amazing Aloe Based
Over 75% of most skin care creams and serums
are water!!! This is wasted base in the serum or cream. We use a very pure
form of aloe instead of the water. Why do we do this? Aloe is amazing -
yet most products have 1, 2 or maybe 3 percent and that is not enough to
do what we are trying to get these creams to do. By using large amounts of
aloe we get these benefits:

Peptides Work!!!
We know this. This is proven by
the manufacturers of these high potency peptides and we see the results
first hand when testing our own creams with these peptides. SO why don't
most skin creams and serums work!
The reason why most skin care creams from
other companies don't work is that they DON'T use enough of the
peptide! These peptides are expensive, far more cost that any
other part of the cream. So instead of using the highest concentration
available they use just enough to allow it to be put on the label.
For our creams to be effective we understood
that high levels of the healing peptides had to be used. Please see each
cream and see the active percentage. Over 95% of the time we use much
higher percentages than the highest percentage the manufacturer says to
use. We do this because we have seen the results with higher
concentrations.
Summary:
Skin Care Products do work and can be
amazing in keeping skin from visibly aging, reducing the appearance of
aging, tightening and firming the skin, reducing redness, reducing dark
circles, getting rid of deepened and raised and even discolored stretch
marks, reducing the pigmentation is skin and so much more. However this
cannot be done with low end creams that cut costs.
